Our Story (and we’re sticking to it!)

When we opened Valley Park Resale and Flea Market in March 2011 we knew that there was a large interest within the metro St. Louis community for a resale and consignment-type business that met the needs of both buyers and sellers. We’ve been pleasantly surprised at the positive response from the whole community, and this has enabled us to expand into the lower-level at the same address. This reception has allowed us to expand in 2014 with the Marketplace Resale and Consignments, just 500′ north of our Resale and Flea Market.

Until now, the nearest businesses operating on a resale/vendor model were located either outside of St. Louis County, or within the county in depressed neighborhoods. Valley Park Resale and Flea Market is located on Hwy 141 at Marshall Road, only 1/4 mile North of Hwy 44. We are within easy reach of all St. Louis County, and regularly have customers from 150+ miles away thanks to easy access to highways 44, 270, 44 and 141. The expansion of 141 to the north has also made it easier for our friends in Creve Coeur, Maryland Heights, Ladue, Chesterfield and St. Charles to reach us.

The store is open seven days a week, and offers warm and dry indoor shopping. We invite you to stop by and check out the great variety of items in our store — a collection that is ever-changing as vendors restock their stores. Our agreement with vendors prohibits items that can give markets a black eye; bootleg and counterfeit items, pornography and alcohol aren’t welcome in our store creating a family-friendly environment.

We aren’t the largest resale stores, but we do offer a unique opportunity for our vendors. Rental on booth spaces is less expensive than many of the weekend-only markets, and our commission for booth renters is only 12%. We staff the store so that you don’t have to, and we handle all sales tax, store advertising, and promotion. Sellers are able to decorate in creative ways, making each booth a small store in its own right. We provide our sellers with a monthly sales report, including confirmation of which items sold. We currently have a waiting list to get a booth, and we encourage you to visit, provide us with your contact information, and we’ll include you on our active list of interested sellers.

If you have ever considered renting a booth at an area flea market or vendor mart, we encourage you to check us out, see what’s different and how our unique story can be transformed into your story.

The owners of Valley Park Resale and Flea Market desire to serve the Lord through this business, and want to relate to our customers and vendors in a manner that is worthy of our Christian calling. We would hope that all whom we are able to meet and all whom we do business would be aware of the calling that we live out in this place. We are closed on Sunday mornings in order to worship. Managing and building a small business is exciting, rewarding — even fun! — and we have seen many ways that the living God has been involved in various ways in the life of our store. To Him we give glory and praise!

We look forward to meeting you soon!

Diana and Brett
